KC Mavericks are gearing up for their Teddy Bear Toss, and they have a ticket package for those who want a bear to toss with their tickets. Smart way to get fans involved in the fun, profit on the bear, and get the donation.
Teddy Bear Toss and Collection
Long John Silver’s and A&W have partnered with the Mavericks to collect teddy bears for the game, offering a free fish and fry to anyone who brings a bear in to a metro location before the game on Dec. 1! The toss will take place after the Mavericks score their first (of many) goals of the game. Should the home team not score through the first two periods, the toss will occur at the second media timeout of the third period.
All bears collected will be donated to a variety of worthy causes in the Kansas City community and will go to children in need during the holiday season. Organizations receiving the Bears this year include: Independence Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Department, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Kansas City, Bags of Fun Kansas City, Shadow Buddies Foundation, Friends of Special People and Community Services League.
The Mavericks are asking the Orange Army to help us reach our goal of 5,000 bears this season!
Teddy Bear Package: Don’t worry about separate searches for tickets and bears – we have you covered! Starting at $28 apiece, the Mavericks are offering a ticket-and-bear bundle for the game! Get yours here.
