Nickelodeon SpongeBob SquarePants Day

First 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a SpongeBob SquarePants movie poster and fans will be able to interact with characters including SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star.

A similar promotion splashed down in Wilkes-Barre last month when the WB Penguins battled with the Springfield Thunderbirds.  Their event included:

• SpongeBob SquarePants trivia
• Costume contests.
• First 2,500 fans receive a special SpongeBob SquarePants Penguins collectible pin.
• Penguins will also be wearing special SpongeBob SquarePants themed jerseys during warm ups, which will be auctioned off by the Penguins GOALS Foundation.

The minor league setting allows for the custom jersey portion of the event, which otherwise had a similar vibe.
