They have been paying tribute to Field of Dreams for over a decade now in Portland, now merged into their Fan Appreciation game.
The Sea Dogs emerge from a cornfield wearing throwback 1926 Portland replica jerseys. The players will then go into the stands to personally thank fans for their support this season.
ESPN has recognized it as one of the best promotions in Minor League Baseball…the SeaDogs built it and the fans certainly come out for this one.
"If you build it, he will come."
