Recaps: Hojo and Barry

Hojo and Barry highlight the last two Huddle Calls on Plus. Here are the quick recaps from the calls.

Our one hour huddle calls continue on Plus.  The calls feature and industry leader in a guided conversation.  These calls are also recorded and archived on our membership site.

We have a diverse group of professionals on the call sharing their experience and insight.  The last two calls included professionals from the NBA, NHL, college sports, the G League, MILB, Major League Rugby, MLB, the AHL, ECHL and more.

Admirals Director of Entertainment Heather Wojciechowski-DeCaire shared her successful Virtual Game from March 2021 and we discussed pandemic-era production elements that we will continue to utilize.  This was a really interesting hour and we focused on ways they took in-game elements on-line by necessity and then how you might use that when fans come back.

The one-time Benny the Bull Barry Anderson is now with Chicago Mascots. Barry will talk about their “performer-first” philosophy and the importance of making a costume that empowers your performer to be their best.  We talked about a lot of little ways costume improvements can help performance, how to make those changes, pick a costumer and even how to navigate working with your boss to get them paid for.  A really insightful hour for anyone who works with a mascot program.

Here is a quick clip from the end of the call where Barry explains who his favorite teams were growing up (which was our ice breaker question thanks to Nick Farmer).

You can join these calls as Member of the Plus. We have a One Month Free Trail for everyone, you can sign up here.
