Simple reminder to build a fun atmosphere around the the sport. When you do that you are selling to people who want to be entertained, not just fans of your sport.
Here a fan shares the tradition of going to a Musketeers game built on crowd experience and excitement, not only for the love of the game.
I still remember Sports Marketing Legend Tim Leiweke explaining to our expansion front office of the Minnesota Timberwolves if you cater to only basketball purists you aren’t going to draw enough fans. You have to have something for everyone. We aren’t selling basketball, we are selling entertainment.
That lesson still applies today. I love the simple reminder here we are really selling entertainment and experiences.
Don’t understand hockey? Not a problem.Kalynn Sortino explains why it’s easy to have a great time at a Muskies game even if you don’t know the game.Come NYE night and see for yourself. @scmusketeers @USHL @OmahaLancers #NewYearsEve #siouxcitytradition #siouxcity @TysonEventsCent pic.twitter.com/HFfBxgV3M0
