Schedule releases can be a test for your brand and a flex of your creative muscle. The Wizards may have won the day with their release featuring new stalwarts Wolf Blitzer and Steve Kornacki’s lead rival John King from CNN.
King and Wolf teased the first half of the calendar by tapping into their election-night mode noting the need for wins, flipping states and of course “Florida, Florida, Florida” (trademark Tim Russert). Then they grouped the Blue Wall states from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin to preview teams from the Sixers to the Bucks. Front Office Sports noted “The crossover was a slam dunk, becoming the NBA’s most-viewed schedule release video on Twitter with more than 3.9 million impressions.”
