Mascot birthday parties are a staple across almost all sports. Teams invite other local mascots and their friends from around the country to help celebrate the big day. It can be a great promotional night and lead to some really fun in game moments. But the Cleveland Indians raised the bar recently, when they had one of their 3 racing hot dog mascots, Ketchup, play the National Anthem at Slider’s 28th birthday on the electric guitar.

This is a very unique way of taking advantage of the talents of the mascot, as well as tying in the theme of Slider’s mascot birthday party into a game staple (The National Anthem) that would be almost impossible to tie in otherwise.
