The Fayetteville Marksmen season is on hold this year, but it didn’t stop the team from holding a Virtual Opening Night. On Dec 31st the team opened its virtual doors and engaged fans to simulate a game night experience, including dance cams, chuck-a-puck, pet cam and a military salute.
The team had an online drop box set up allowing fans to submit photos for each of their engagements.
SUBMIT YOUR MEDIA FOR VIRTUAL OPENING NIGHT
- National Anthem – video of you singing part or all of the National Anthem
- Dance Cam – video you (and your family, dog, friends) dancing to Baby Shark or YMCA
- USAA Standing Salute – submit a photo / video of you or loved one who served / is serving in the United States Military (in uniform preferable)
- Pet Cam – Show off your proud Marksmen (F)Animal! Photo or video submission of your dog/cat/fox/etc (even better if in Marksmen gear!)
- Kiss Cam – Photo / Video of you giving a smooch to a loved one / animal / adult beverage / etc
- Simba Cam – Photo / video of you raising a loved one / child / animal / adult beverage / etc like Simba from The Lion King
Their twitter feed was the centerpiece of the night where they posted the results mixed with clips from last year.
Freedom isn't Free.
It is now time for our Standing Salute (pres. by @USAA) – please join us in thanking – or remembering – those who are serving, and have served our great country.
We are forever indebted for your sacrifice 🇺🇸#VirtualOpeningNight | #FearTheFox🦊 pic.twitter.com/fGOgULgE8c
