For those who have listened to the pod and read me here you likely know I am a huge fan of the Portland Timbers unconventional mascot program started by Timber Jim. Jim is a Portland icon and (to me) absolute mascot legend. Timber Jim is everything a mascot should be: a symbol for the team, an ambassador in the community and someone kids and adults can connect with and admire.
