Yard Goats hosted the Fishercats with a special Christmas in July.
The promotion included a canned food drive to benefit local food banks and Baseball BINGO
As fans entered and donated, they received a Stop & Shop gift card.
The team also made the promotion seem more relevant with a headline in the game recap: “Yard Goats Find Coal In Stocking In ‘Christmas In July’ Loss”
While they took the loss, the promotion seemed like a more important part of the evening with this simple line. A good reminder to connect your promotions to every part of your brand.
