Jacksonville is home to a large military population and the Jumbo Shrimp are active showing their support for the troops. This includes Red Shirt Fridays when Jumbo Shrimp players and staff wear red to support the military, and fans who wear red save $1 on a ticket at the box office, or can donate that $1 to charity.

Plus it is EMO Night….

Emo Night

Grab your paramore, stick her in the red jumpsuit apparatus and head to the ballpark for one of the annual rites of spring. It’s EMO Night and if you can get here before you fall out, boy will it be a great time. It’s nothing to panic at, the disco demolition night is not what saves the day. Fortunately, this game is on a Friday so there will be no taking back Sunday. That said , my chemical romance for the day will be an ice cold beer but not to worry as it won’t come out of a cooler for the used, it’ll be brand new! It’ll be a great night for the all American. Rejects need not apply and feel free to send them packing in that death cab, for cutie will be there to help with your new found glory. Show up, or don’t… we don’t care.
