Hey You Guys! Akron Goes Goonies

Some promotions are worth waiting for. Like many teams, 2021 promotions look a bit like the cancelled 2020 season promotions.

The RubberDucks were finally able to get their Goonies Themed bobblehead to fans.

Originally planned for May 23rd, 2020 the Sloth bobblehead from the Goonies character was given to fans on May 22nd for their Goonies-Themed night.  Several of Akron’s promotions this year have been rolled over from the 2020 season.

“We are so proud to finally bring these exciting promotions to the ballpark this season!” RubberDucks Promotions Manager, Kyle Hixenbaugh noted. “This season’s promotional schedule brings new faces to ballpark while celebrating all the best that our QuAkron community has to offer. Some special nights this year include our Perros Calientes rebrand and Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 5, Akron Pride night June 29 featuring t-shirt Tuesday, and September 3 commemoration of the Akron Black Tyrites.”
