Grow Your Own Bat

Arbor Day is the last first in every April in most states. Some states celebrate Arbor day on different dates to take advantage of better tree planting weather (see list below). This month's Premium Spotlight is geared towards baseball teams, but could also work for hockey teams ("Grow your own Stick Night").

Tree Saplings: The "Grow Your Own Bat Day" Promotion

This month's Spotlight ties together Arbor Day or Earth Day with the traditional "Bat Day" in a sponsor friendly, playful twist.

Arbor Day is the last first in every April in most states. Some states celebrate Arbor day on different dates to take advantage of better tree planting weather (see list below). This month's Premium Spotlight is geared towards baseball teams, but could also work for hockey teams ("Grow your own Stick Night").

In the classic Bat Day, teams give fans a bat at the gate. In this version, fans receive a tree sapling to plant for Arbor Day, with the clever twist that they will be growing their own bat over time. Each sapling can grow into a 125 foot tall tree and last up to 100 years.

These saplings come in a ten inch long tube or a ten inch long sealed bag with an imprint area for your team message or sponsor logo. Imprint size is 3-3/4" by 1-1/4".

This promotion is perfect for the environmentally or "green" company on your sponsor list, or you can make your team stand out itself as a friend of the environment and community leader. Order extra trees to donate to a local school or charitable group to enhance your community image even more.

Fans will enjoy the giveaway, sponsors will love the environmentally positive message, and the media may find this twist on the traditional "Bat Night" irresistible.

We also have a potted plant option. In some cases this is the best option for sponsors, since the imprinted pot lasts longer and has more impact.

In addition to the bag or tubes, we now have a potted version of the Grow Your Own Bat night. This version is a little easier to manage and less expensive, since you do not need to ship these overnight and they are not live saplings, rather a tree seed kit.
