Dog Related Premiums

A number of teams are looking for four legged fans (or more likely their owners) and have created "Dog Days" (see collection of stories below). These promotions are based on inviting dogs and dog owners to enjoy a game, and many teams work to expand the event with related entertainment.

Miss LunaThe Portland Beavers (AAA baseball) do two "Bark in the Park" events each season, with the latter building on the first and drawing an even larger crowd. It tends to be one of their more popular days, evident by the number of call ins they receive about the event as well as the number of dogs present. A clear increase in the attendance and interest in their Bark in the Park event has led Portland to repeat the promotion again this season.

The Beavers promote it with all forms of media. Dogs get in free (or owners get in free and the dogs must have a ticket). The team puts out water dishes for the dogs and they build in giveaways like Frisbee flyers. They make an effort to involve dogs with their entire program, whether it is running the bases or a best dog trick contest. In the past we have brought out Police K-9 units and Frisbee dog shows. These go over well with fans and dog owners alike.

The media has shown great interest with the Beavers' "Bark in the Park" and has shown a good amount of coverage on the nightly news.

Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Milt Wilcox said in regards to the Tiger's Dog Promotional Day, "All the dog people actually get to sit and talk and make friends, and that's what's nice about this." (Detroit News Story)

In this month's spotlight, we look at several options for Dog related premiums that may be interesting to fans, their pets, and your sponsors. If you are interested in any of these items, please use the form below to receive more information on placing your order from Gameops.com.

Dog Dish
We have several options for dog dishes and water bowls, with plenty of imprint space so your dog knows what team to bark for.

Dog Collars

Another option is dog collars. These woven collars are more expensive, but is an item that will always stay with your fan's dog.

Collars come in a range of sizes, the one shown is 1/2 an inch wide. Most collar options will be in the mid-$2 range for a one-color imprint or weave.

Flyers

Flyers (aka Frisbee discs) are another less expensive option for a great dog day premium. We have many options on flyers, most starting under $1.00 each, and it is not uncommon to find an option under $.50 (quantities 500+).

These are a tremendous way to connect on-field promotions with frisbee catching contests or professional shows.

Catch.
