Bandannas

Bandannas are a very versatile product that offer some significant advantages as a premium giveaway.
First of all, bandannas are affordable, most are around $1 (in quantities around 1,000). They also have can be used by the fan in several ways. A rally towel is something you wave to support your team, but its unlikely that you would wear it. Giveaway bandannas can be seen on fans' heads as do-rags, headbands or scarves.
Bandannas also have a huge imprint area. A common size for a bandanna is 22" square, and it's not hard to find those with an imprint of 18" square. This allows you to use that imprint area in many possible promotional ways. Don't limit how you might think about a bandanna to just something fans will wear around their head. Here are some ideas to consider:
- Use the bandanna as an event map or a map of your concourse. Many teams are spending a lot more resources on their concourse or fan areas, so a bandanna can be a useful tool to let them know where everything is.
- Promote as a rally towel with your season schedule.
- Golf Course map with course tips.
- Event map for walks, 10k runs, or rallies.
- Mascot Birthday Party giveaway that can be used by kids to collect mascot autographs. Line art of each mascot or imprint each mascot's name so kids can collect autographs.
- A great giveaway for Dog Day/Bark in the Park promotions. Half bandannas are available for dog scarves.
- Target motorcyclists or recreational riders for "Biker Nights."
These other uses work well with the larger imprint area, but also because bandannas are more durable than paper. They won't tear, you can get them wet, they are small and portable and easy to read.
The smaller bandannas are good if you are on a budget or as an alternative for rally towels. The 14" size is not large enough to tie around your head and wear.
Of course the larger imprint area is also sponsor friendly. The larger area provides more space for a sponsor logo. Also having an item that has on-going use, like the team schedule, will provide an item that fans will see again and again, thus adding value to the sponsor's investment.
